Excitement filled the air at SDIT Mentari Indonesia 02 as students from Grades 1 to 6 gathered for an inspiring Native Speaker Day. The school campus vibrated with high energy and bright smiles from the moment our guest speaker arrived. Designed to make language learning an immersive adventure, this special event gave our young learners a golden opportunity to practice real-world English, ask questions, and build authentic communication confidence in a warm, joy-filled environment.
For our youngest learners in Grades 1 and 2, the session was a vibrant exploration of “Colors and School Items.” The room buzzed with pure delight as children eagerly held up their colorful pencil cases, notebooks, and crayons while repeating new vocabulary alongside the native speaker. Through playful visual guessing games and energetic rhythm activities, the students enthusiastically shouted out color names and classroom tools, transforming basic vocabulary practice into an unforgettable game.
The enthusiasm continued to grow with Grades 3 and 4, who dived into the captivating topics of “Food and Animals.” The students eagerly raised their hands to talk about their favorite dishes, imitate fun animal sounds, and identify mysterious creatures described by the speaker. Their eyes sparkled with excitement every time they successfully answered a challenge in English, proving that sharing stories about delicious treats and wild animals is a wonderful way to learn.
Meanwhile, our upper primary students in Grades 5 and 6 stepped into meaningful conversations centered around “Hobbies and Jobs.” They proudly shared their personal passions—ranging from soccer and digital illustration to playing music—and spoke confidently about their dream careers as future engineers, doctors, and artists. This dynamic session encouraged them to form complete sentences, ask thoughtful questions about international cultures, and discover how natural speaking English can feel.
The Native Speaker Day at SDIT Mentari Indonesia 02 concluded as a resounding success, leaving every student feeling accomplished and inspired. Beyond mastering new phrases, our students experienced the joy of cross-cultural connection and gained a fresh perspective on global communication. Seeing their confidence bloom throughout the day perfectly reflected SDIT Mentari Indonesia’s mission to nurture bright, expressive, and globally-minded learners.
